Proclaiming the Good News of Jesus Christ to the world

COVID-19 Latest Update

December 7, 2020
Good afternoon beloved of God at St. Vincent's,

As I mentioned this past weekend at the Masses, the pastors had a zoom meeting with the Bishop this afternoon where further instructions were given to us for operations. Here are some of the changes and how they will effect us for the next few months:

1.  All Masses must be celebrated outdoors. A live-streamed indoor Mass may be celebrated, but only with the priest, lector, and camera operator. The bishop will not authorize Mass indoors at this time for any other reason, even if the Supreme Court or Governor approves of it.

- For this reason, we will continue celebrating all of our Masses outdoors in the parking lot until the Bishop gives permission to do differently. Daily Masses will be recorded and uploaded later that dayweekend Masses will be live-streamed as usual.

- Because we do not have lighting nor heating outdoors, we will not be having late night Masses for Immaculate conception (December 8), nor Christmas Eve.

Mass Time Info:
Weekend Mass times will remain the same:

Vigil at 4pm
Sunday morning at 8:30am and 10am

Immaculate Conception Mass will be celebrated at 7:15am in the parking lot, but there will not be a 6pm evening Mass.

December Christmas Masses will only be at:

Christmas Eve at 4pm
Christmas Day at 10am

2. Bishop said there are to be no indoor services that invite people to congregate, such as prayer service, penance service, nor exposition of the Blessed Sacrament. However, the church is allowed to remain open and available for personal prayer.

- At. St. Vincents we will no longer have exposition of the Blessed Sacrament following the daily Masses, but the church will remain open and available for personal / individual prayer.

3.  Confession are allowed to be held inside, but the line for confessions must be outside, with people social distanced, and wearing masks.

- we will continue our confession times as normal, in the children’s chapel, but the line must move from inside to the outside door of the children’s chapel. We will begin this practice tonight.

Monday evening exposition with confessions will become a time where the church is open for personal prayer and confessions. And the confession line must be outside the children’s chapel door.

Thank you for your patience as we continue to adjust to these ongoing changes. We need prayer more than ever right now, and I encourage you to engage Jesus in prayer as often as you can.

God bless you and keep you,

Fr. Alex

July 2020
1. Weekend outdoor Mass schedule will continue to be:
Saturday 4:00PM  and Sunday 8:30AM and 10:00AM

Please follow all posted social distancing guidelines and wear a mask for the entire Mass/time on campus.

We plan to get more canopies to cover a larger portion of the parking lot. If you would like to donate money toward this, please click here and put in the memo line "parking lot Mass canopies."

2. Weekday daily Mass (Mon-Fri) will resume at 7:15AM outdoors, starting Monday, August 3rd. We will also resume live-streaming* the daily Masses Mon-Wed and Friday (Thursday is a guest priest, so we will not live-stream these Masses, but it will still be available in person).

3. Since adoration must be outdoors, we will no longer have regular post-Mass and afternoon Adoration times, but we will start with a trial of outdoor Adoration on Friday mornings (first one=NEXT Friday, August 7th).Confessions will also be held at this time.

4.  Burning Ones and Vespers will not be moved outside at this time and thus are on a temporary hiatus.  As time goes on, and as we learn the ins and outs of "outdoor worship," there may be an adjustment to this, but for now we will take our time and  see how things progress.

5. We will begin live-streaming* the Mass again starting this Sunday, August 2nd at 8:30AM , and daily Masses at 7:15AM, starting this coming Monday.  *If live-streaming from outside has too many technical issues, we will video and upload the Mass by early morning.  Thank you for your patience we learn the new set-up for technology during outdoor Mass.

6. For now, regular Confession times will be:
                     Fridays 7:45AM-8:30AM and Saturdays 3:00PM-3:50PM
Confessions will take place outside at the picnic tables. Please form the confessional line 20 ft away, at the south west canopy, nearest the picnic tables.

7. Zoom ministry opportunities continue to be available, and we will soon open online registration for Confirmation, RCIA and middle School opportunities.  K-5th grade online CCD classes are taking registrations --please contact Mrs.Kymberli Parker.
