First of all, then I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people.." 1 Timothy 2:1
A non-gathered component/commitment (i.e. no meetings): If you would like to be put on the list of St. Vincent's intercessors, sign up through flocknotes (see below for instructions) or by emailing [email protected] You will then receive bi-monthly emails with various prayer and novena campaigns for the parish, school and preschool communities of St. Vincent de Paul, as well as the greater community, and world at large. You will also be given access to the prayer requests we receive online, and asked to pray for those, as well as a daily prayer for St. Vincent's.
A Gathered Component: The whole community, whether you are an official "St. Vincent Intercessor" or not, will be invited to a one and a half hour time of prayer about 4 times a year.
The goal of our gathering is simply to intercede and pray for St. Vincent's ministries, parishioners, school, preschool, staff, families, etc., sick people, souls in purgatory, specific requests, and the Church at large and the world. Format of gathered meetings is something akin to the below schedule:
- Divine Mercy Chaplet
- Sacred Heart Consecration Renewal
- St. Michael Chaplet
- Prayers from the Bible
- Written petition prayers for ministries, people who need healing, other needs of the community.
- Spontaneous prayer from all present to pray for whatever other needs we didn't mention or whatever comes to their hearts to pray for.
If you would like to join/receive emails from this ministry (or any others) you may sign up through flocknote. Please text the word stvincentsd (all lowercase, no capitols or spaces) to the number 84576. You will be led to a page where you enter your email (and phone, if you would like to receive texts), and tell us what groups you would like communication from. Be sure to sign up for St. Vincent's Intercessors group....and any other ministries you would like to receive communication from/become a part of.
