Prayer Teams Schedule Protocol
Purpose: Fr. Alex asked me to create a way to organize prayer teams, so that if there won't be people available after a certain Mass on a certain week, we won't announce it to the congregation...so here's the new system, and we need your help!:0)
SCHEDULING PRAYER TEAMS NEW SIMPLE PROTOCOL
SCHEDULING PRAYER TEAMS NEW SIMPLE PROTOCOL
- The above link (orange button) Prayer Teams Schedule is a living document on google forms that is editable by all. The goal is to have it three months out at a time.
- Currently is is June through the end of August (and then Sept - Dec, etc...it's a living doc, so you'll see when it gets added to, and in fact, anyone can take initiative to update and further the calendar/delete past dates, if you like).
- RECURRING ACTION ITEM FOR ALL PRAYER TEAM MEMBERS: Please fill out this Prayer Teams Schedule Google Doc to the best of your knowledge through August.
- Simply put your name in the dates/times you are available to pray after Mass under the next open column labeled "prayer minister 1, 2, 3....etc." (The numbers mean nothing except that is the order we signed up for the slots).
- Olivia, in the parish office, who writes the announcements each week, will check by the WEDNESDAY before each weekend, to see if there are any Masses that have zero prayer ministers signed up. If this is the case, and there is a Mass where there are no prayer ministry team members available, Olivia will tell the lector NOT to announce prayer teams.
- Please fill out your availability for three months at a time, and if something should change, be sure to delete your name.
- This does not mean you need to be available for every Mass or the same Mass for three months, this just means, from now through the next few months, to the best of your ability, please commit to the Masses you will be able to be on prayer teams for and simply don't put your name on the ones you know or guess you will not make.
- If you happen to end up being available on a weekend that you originally said you weren't, you can still feel free to join the team--as long as there were others signed up and a team is available after that Mass.
- If it's after Wednesday and you delete your name for the immediate upcoming weekend because of sickness or sudden change in plans, and no one else remains on the list to pray after a certain Mass, please call Olivia at the office number - 619-299-3880 or email her at office@vincentcatholic.org and let her know there will be no prayer ministers at which ever Mass you just dropped from.
- If there were no names to begin with, Olivia would have already understood that, so no need to tell her unless it's a last minute change and only if no one else remains on the list for the Mass you just vacated
- That said, EVERYONE who intends to be on prayer teams, even occasionally, please be sure to put yourself on there when you do plan to be there, otherwise, we won't announce that prayer teams are available if no one is signed up!

Curry Blake Playlists. We did the DHT together, as well as the Mind Renewal. I've dropped two additional ones as well -- New Man seminar and SWAT (spiritual warfare). These are great for personal edification or for sharing among one another (those others who have gone through ADT), as supplements to lifeteams
