Liturgical ministry

For even the Son of Man came not to be served, but to serve...

Mark 10:45

The Catholic Mass is considered the "source and the summit" of our Faith. All blessings and gifts flow from it, and all our offerings and needs return to it. At St. Vincent's we live this thoroughly.

Do you feel a call to minister to God and the Body of Christ during the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass at St. Vincent's? Consider volunteering for one of our ministry positions below.

Ministries for the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass

Lectors

Proclaim the readings at weekend and weekday masses. For parishioners in good standing, lector training is available through the Diocesan Office of Liturgy. Please contact the parish office for more details.

Communion Ministers

Assist with distributing the Eucharist under both species at all parish masses and take communion to the sick and those confined to their homes. Candidates for training as Communion Ministers must be confirmed, over sixteen, and parishioners in good standing who are recommended by the pastor. Please contact the parish office.

Altar Servers

All boys and girls who are interested in altar serving are eligible to serve at Mass. If you'd like to get your child involved in altar serving,  please contact the parish office.
