Restore & Maintain
Our Rectory

Help us restore and maintain the Historic Jones House

On July 1st, 2018, Scripps Mercy Hospital in Hillcrest donated and moved the Historic Jones House onto a dirt lot owned by St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Mission Hills. If you know anything about Historic Houses, you know that they are beautiful in the way they visibly capture the historic look of their time. However, it can also be very expensive to restore and maintain a piece of history through the years. There is a nice article about the history of this house on the KUSI website.

As a small parish in Mission Hills, with a big hope of preserving part of the history of San Diego, we hope everyone will help us restore and maintain the Historic Jones House. Ideally the house, once restored, will be used to house the priests who serve at St. Vincent de Paul, and the community of Mission Hills. I invite you to be a part of history, and help us restore and maintain this house.

Please consider making a donation towards this project. All donations are tax deductible. Working together as one community in San Diego, we can keep this historic house restored and maintained for future generations. You can bring a donation to the parish office at 4077 Ibis St., or donate online to "Jones House - Rectory" filling in the donate form on this page.

As of November 2019, we have raised $77,350 of our goal of $300,000.

I thank you in advance for your generosity and kindness.

Fr. Alex De Paulis
